Stop Motion Pro requires a lot of computing power to playback video at high frame rates. To do this it interacts with your video card and adjusts the colors to a reduced color palette. This is why the message appears. When you close Stop Motion Pro the computer goes back to its normal configuration.
We understand it is a little unnerving, but it is a requirement to obtain accurate frames per second playback.
