Does your camera keep going into standby mode?  (Go black or blue on screen)

Check the following:

- you may need to plug it into mains power
- Take out any tapes (if a tape based video camera)
- Check the camera internal menus - if there is a standby mode see if you can turn it off, or at least extend the time it is on.
